July 30th Renyana is officially open! Come one, come all and explore the world and what it has to offer!
Spring Year 1 The pack of Roshanee run by Syphira and Kadon, the pack Ketsuran, had taken claim to Cylena in the north. For those looking to join, wait for Syphira to call for members in Cylena. Spring has arrived, temperatures have become chilly in Renyana, but moderate and rainy in Rylani. Jecozac and Genro in Rylani, however, is experiencing a blizzard. Be cautious when traveling these lands!
A young and all exotic black male wolf had approached the borderline, as his sharp gaze was fixated on the land beyond. He had been traveling for quite sometime and could feel his very limbs seem to give as he really had no other choice, but to take a slight break. How long had he been wandering straight with no break this time. Tilting his head in his thoughts he honestly couldn't bring himself to recall, it had been that long. The brisk wind stirred up ever slightly as it brushed along his coat, a wave of his own pure black fur, to gently sway to the left with the direction of the wind. Keeping his gaze tight on the land beneath, he would occasionally notice a few small animals here and there, jumping from limb to limb, and rummaging along the downed foliage.
Knowing that these lands could be inhabited by others, he kept right outside the borderline, but he shifted his gaze and turned his muzzle to the left to gently gaze upon the trees and all past it. His amber colored eyes seemed lost, as if looking for a purpose of his own. Maybe he was. Maybe this new land would be the opportunity this male wolf truly needed, and maybe..wanted. A year had passed since he had been forced to wander on his own yet again, and ever since then, he had been met with all sorts of obstacles and less than glamorous situations. Which was one of the main reasons the scar on his left eye weighs heavy on his soul. Feeling fatigue begin to weigh on his legs, the hulking obsidian colored male laid on his side, giving his legs a well deserved rest. Flicking his tail back and forth, along the ground, his nose caught a familiar scent and turned his gaze to behind him and noticed two small rabbits. His sharp amber gaze fell to the two rabbits but his own body had betrayed him, as he could barely move himself. In the end, he just looked away and back toward the border to this new land. His mind seemed to wander on to what sort of mysterious lied in waiting to be discovered. Or maybe to just find somewhere to just call home. Home. Home was something the young male wolf always wanted. He always wanted to belong somewhere, have somewhere he COULD call home.
A low huff like sigh escaped from his nostrils, lowering his head, and resting his muzzle along the ground. Maybe it was all for naught, he would occasionally think. Who would welcome a monster like him? He was bigger in comparison to other of his kind, which always seemed to attract the wrong sort of attention. Since as he was big, many of the larger predators of the forest would came and try to face him. Whether it was for a kill, for territory, hell, maybe bragging rights, he didn't know and he honestly didn't care. The soft wind blew once again, as the young male would lift his head, sticking his nostril into the air, to feel the nice breeze along his fur. The elegant waft of maple intruded into his nostrils which caused him to keep his muzzle into the air, for a brief moment longer. Already he felt peace envelop into his very soul as he lowered his muzzle yet again, facing the border of the unknown land.
But, as he continued to gaze into the new territory, he felt a light pain behind his left eye, which caused the young male to grit his teeth, and the sight in his left eye soon began to blurry as he continued to look. Eventually he had no choice but to close his left eye, and lower his head to the ground, to let the wave of pain diminish.
Kadon had slipped away from his mate. He didn't like being away from her for long but he wanted to a bit of patrolling of his own. The dark furred brute padded silently though the lands their future pack would lay. Since claiming the land with Syphira, he hadn't seen hide nor hair of any wolf and wondered if wolves were beginning to leave the Island in fear of the virus. The wolf, while he was nervous, was not afraid. He would never leave his home lands. Had it not been for the Skin-pelts, this land would still hold it's beauty.
Nonetheless, Kadon was cautious. He moved carefully and his nose seemed to constantly twitch as he breathed in the air around him. Met with a mixture maple and honey tingled his nose and he couldn't help but let out a happy scoff. It was sweet smelling and relaxing. It was home.
The wolf trotted in silence, his white gaze moving around as he walked. These lands, although tainted, were still beautiful and still held many good things. Nearing the border of his territory the wolf's attention was soon grabbed when the unknown scent of a stranger. His neck fur bristled faintly and his eyes narrowed.
Following the scent, Kadon moved with his head low to the ground and his eyes wide open. As the scent got stronger the wolf spotted a lone figure. Swallowing a snarl, Kadon lifted his head and peered curiously in it's direction. Was it dead? Sniffing the air again he came to the conclusion that it was, indeed, not dead. Confidently, Kadon strolled towards the figure with his head held high. Upon approach he noted that it was a rather large brute, much larger then he had ever seen. Lifting a paw, he would attempt to prod the larger wolf with a paw. "Hello?" he barked in a gruff, weary, tone.
The pain soon started to diminish, as a soft light breath was released from the young males mouth. But his ears perked up as he heard an unfamiliar voice that had approached him. The young male silently cursed at himself. He was too distracted with the pain that he didn't notice an unfamiliar scent that wafted toward him, or maybe his nostrils were still filled with the very sweet aroma of maple. Either way, the young male did not wish to be rude. Though this wolf was indeed a stranger to him, he was in an unfamiliar territory, this must be a wolf of an existing pack that lingers within these wood. To not be rude, the young male grunted a tad bit in pain, as the large bulky male stood up on all fours, standing quite a bit tall, but he kept his head lowered in respect to this mysterious wolf stranger. The young male did not have the energy for a conflict, it was taking a lot of his energy reserves to honestly stand up at all.
The young male spoke in response to the stranger, keeping his head lowered. His tone was gruff and low.
Kadon patiently waited as the large beast began to stand. His eyes remained fixated on the young male. It seemed that the other male got bigger and bigger as he moved.. This male was probably the biggest wolf he had seem in his life.
Inner Kadon: Hecckin fluff! That.. is one big wolf..
His entire insides screamed for him to tense but the male force himself to remain calm. His white gaze trained on the other. His face remained frozen into the same downwards frown. But something about the sight of the other made Kadon feel something strange.. Pity? No.. What was it.. Just as the male was trying to think on this the other male spoke.
His ears swiveled forwards "And yours.." Kadon responded carefully. "My name is Kadon, I am one of the Ketsuran of Roshanee Pack.. This.." he twitched one ear to indicate the land behind him. "Is our land. Who are you and are you in need of assistance?" Kadon asked with a slight tilt of his headd.
The young male took in the sight of the other male wolf before him. His own ears flicked softly as he took in the other males name, Kadon. He took a small moment and took a look at the other male taking in his posture, and colors and his eyes.
But, the young male focused on the other males question, as he learned of what his packs name and that the land beyond the border belonged to him and his pack. Roshanee, it had a quite beautiful ring to it, much like the sweet aroma this area had.
"My name, is Onyx. and well, I've been wandering for a year, in search of well.."
Onyx hesitated on answering. He was in search of a new home and well, a family that would accept him for him, regardless of the sort of wolf that onyx was. He felt a embarrassment beginning to well up, as he gave a soft sigh, still looking directly to Kadon. No matter how embarrassed he would feel on answering, he would have to be truthful, thats just how Onyx was all of his life. Onyx fixed his posture as he was now standing up straighter, lifting his head a bit more, still looking directly toward Kadon.
"I'm in search for a new home. I was adopted into my last pack many years ago, but as i grew older, I...well..grew more in my size. They began to distrust me, even fear me. Eventually they..banished me. So I've been wandering since."
The dark furred wolf twitched his ears when he heard the other speak of being in search of a home after having been banished from his old home. His eyes sparked when he was told the reason that he had been banished, to be forced out because of your size!
Kadon stared hard at Onyx for a moment before clearing his throat and venturing to speak. "A foolish reason to banish one. Pah! Over size?" the wolf looked Onyx up and down, despite the size of the male before him he didn't seem much a threat. Kadon tilted his head, he could invite the wolf into the pack. Would Syphira be okay with this? They were, after all, looking for members to join their pack - they were stronger in numbers.
Kadon cleared his threat again. "Well, Onyx. It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, I would like to offer you an invitation to our pack." the wolf began and looked over his shoulder. "Our pack is in need of members and you are looking for a home. Perhaps we can fulfill both sides needs" the wolf said and looked back to the larger male. "I do not care whither you are bigger then an elk or smaller than a rabbit. What matters most is ones loyalty and the size of their heart." his gaze raked over the male curiously. "Putting out a wolf over something so simple is foolish. I would think they would wish to keep you instead of get rid of you.. " he muttered mostly to himself.
"Anyhow, as I said you are invited to join us. If you accept my offer or wish to see our pack I can lead you to our pack's camp and show you our territory. My mate Shypira would be glad to have you at our side."
Quiet for a moment as Kadon would speak, his ears then perked up when he heard the offer to join his pack, his family with his mate. A feeling of joy began to form within the young males soul, but he quickly squandered it as he didn't wish to get his hopes up, to fast. After what he had been through, it was a refreshing feeling that this was offered to him. But what kadon mentioned peaked his interest also. That his pack mostly are in search for those that are to be loyal, and to have a good heart. To Onyx that is very noble, and something he always searched for. Maybe...maybe this was the start he truly needed.
"I'm truly thankful for your offer Kadon. But if its alright, I'd like to join you and your mate in your pack. Your goals of loyalty and having a good heart spoke to me. If possible i'd truly love to see your lands..also."
Onyx fully stood up straight, lifting his head more, looking right to Kadon. He would be in the presence of a leader if he was to be welcomed. Many of the elders of his old pack hated that he was taller which to them made them see that Onyx was attempting to challenge their authority, even though he wasn't trying to at all. So he would always struggle in keeping his eyes and head low so he wouldn't show any sign of confrontation. Though he wasn't afraid of any sort of confrontation, he would rather avoid so if he had the option.
At the words spoken by Onyx, Kadon would allow a smile to grace his features. The look in the male wolf's gaze changed from a guarded gaze into one that held respect. Changed into a look that made it seem he was with an equal instead of a higher-up and a omega or a rogue.
"I am glad you are willing to join, Onyx." he said with a wag of his tail. "Come, follow me. As we walk I will tell you of the pack and our ranks and you can choose from those." Kadon said with a nod before he turned around and began to move in the direction he had come, glancing once over his shoulders to see if Onyx was following.
